Languages Teaching for 21st Century

At TEDxRainier, Patricia Kuhl shares astonishing findings about how babies learn one language over another -- by listening to the humans around them and "taking statistics" on the sounds they need to know. Clever lab experiments (and brain scans) show how 6-month-old babies use sophisticated reasoning to understand their world.

Has anybody tried to use Screenr in the classroom?

Which tool would be ideal to use  for the flipped classroom model where class time is spent on interacting with students while theory is learnt at home via internet technology such as screencasts, podcasts or vodcasts?

A+ Flashcard pro is also free for a limited time. Very good opportunity to get the full version allowing students/teachers to create and upload sets directly from the iPad/iPod to quizlet and to download the sets they want.

I have just tested A+FlashCard Pro app for iPads. Easy to create cards for students to  memorize new words, idioms, terms or any other types of information. You can add words, phrases, photos and audio recording.
You can import sets of existing flashcards from websites like Quizlet.com. Students can also easily create their own sets of cards and share sets with others.

The use of ICT for teaching and learning languages

You may be interested to read about the project in the UK that identified and explored successful and innovative practice in the use of information and communication technology (ICT) for teaching and learning languages  in schools. Five schools were selected for the project, each of which formed the basis for a short case study. The focus of the case studies is the impact on the learner.
