Reinventing the Wheel

Why do we insist on reinventing the wheel?

I recently had to create a year 7-10 mathematics curriculum documentation from scratch. It took way too much time - time that could of been spent in other ways. Whilst it is no masterpeice I am more then willing to share to save anyone else from having to do something similar.
